Alisa S. T. Cowen, LA, AICP, is the owner, Senior Landscape Architect and Urban Planner for AST Cowen Design Group LLC.  Alisa has over 30 years of experience as a Registered Landscape Architect and has been involved as an integral partner on a wide variety of design projects. Her firm has participated in preparing design and construction documents for the US Department of State’s Division of Overseas Building Operations and her landscape architectural talents have been applied to dozens of Embassy Compounds via Design/Build contracts.  Other federal work includes master planning studies for the Department of Defense in the national capital region. Local government projects have also been awarded to the firm, supporting clients that include DC Department of General Services, Fairfax County Park Authority, and NOVA Parks.
